2nd Dan grading. (4th Dec 2011)

suppose to attend the 2nd dan grading 1year after i took my 1st dan in May 2004, however, due to several unespected reason, we (me n ameagor) oly had the chance to do it on the pas sunday (4th Dec 2011). delayed for 6.5years...

for me, i think the sch exam is more scary thn this, as whn i about to enter exam hall, unless i m so very confident on the paper, or else i gt the slight feel of wana vomit... ahahhaha.. bt for this grading, the feel dint turn up....

the grading start (our turn start i mean) around 330pm, conducted by mst george yu...

below are the general summary of wat had being done in the grading session:

a) start with several basic movement combination of block-punch-kick (video 1 & 2 below):

b) after a few minute of basic kicking, then we r required to perform sum very simple "1-step sparing" n "self-defense" technique... (video 3)

c) target kicking followed next... consist of basic: turning kick, side kick, back trust, back hook, front kick, n axe kick. (video 4)

d) poomsae cum next... only need to perform 3poomsae nia, taeguek 7, 8 n koryo.

e) free spar, light/none contact, 2round (1st wit ameagor, 2nd wit chee lik. video 5, 6, & 7)

f) 4 direction plank breaking (me n ameagor), side kick 2planks (chee lik). (video 8, 9, & 10)

g) tiles breaking (2 pieces). (video 11 & 12)

week 13.....

a short update for my week 13 result... on sunday (13sept 2011) nite after supper, was in the weight of 76.6kg... say bye bye to another 0.8 kg in a week...

bt, seriously, i dnt care much bout the kg actualy, since it is nt wat i aim fr, i aim to change n look diff a bit.... hopefuly if can, get a bit rresult by cny ^^ let wait n see.....

later 9am will fly to KL to take course liaw, never being thr b4, n alone this time, hahaha, hope eveting goes well thn... plz dnt fail in the test.........

17days more... will be the grading date... hope i dnt ambares myself...

week 12 de result...

last week was the 12 week in my 6month plan... is oso a milestone where i start to watch my food intake a bit... odo nt a strict low kcal diet, however, for the pas 1 week, it sumhow give an encouraging result.

in the pas 1 week, had being set that the daily kcal intake to be around 1800 kcal, hence with the range cover of 1700-1900kcal is alowed ^^

exercise level is slightly lowes the weeks b4 to alow the adaptation of body to the lower food intake trail week.

beside lowering the total kcal, had oso divided it into amount to be taken in more infrequence meal consumption, which each meal consist about 200-350kcal each n take in 6-7 separate meal.

as the result, from around 78.2kg on 30 oct, nw (6nov, after meal) weighted at 77.4kg. a drop of 0.8kg...

so far it is quite ok fr me la.... looking forward to the 13th week de outcum....

my 17th time....

sleep a bit late last nite (actualy is a lot late), bout 5.20am just kun... 10am wake n go bulevard for blood donation....

waiting..... waiting... n keep waiting...





after waited fr 2hour plus, finally is my turn, gt it done bout 5-6minute....

as in the 2nd pic, a 1st time donor, may be too excited, she dint boder to folo advice frm the MA to rest n hav a drink 1st, after donate, she syok syok like bo su go help her sis/fren (nt sure) take video, half way, she fun tet... XDDD

had being witnessing the 1st (if nt mistaken) TM/PTNS senior belt upgrading.. general info and syllabus are as folo:

Event: TM/PTNS senior belt (Dan and above) grading.

Grading syllabus:

1st Dan upgrade to 2nd Dan:
a) part of poomsae: 4, 7, 8.
b) poomsae: 4, 6, 8, koryo.
c) combination kick: turning-chop-backtrust & turning-spining turning-backswing.
d) target kicking: slide back turning, chop, backtrust, & backswing.
e) 1 step spar.

on 7 august 2011, kuching branch closed tkd poomsae competition will be held in lodge sch's hall.. this will be my 3rd time participating... bt, so far, i m so unprepared... damn it... anyhow, i cnt let myself lose, shall try to do sumting bout it.....

on 8 august 2011, my damn final exam will be start, so damn Fxxking soi, the stupid schedule place 2 paper on the same day... and damn, i just start wanna touch my book.... holy crap.....

had did this for 16th time (including tis tym), total bout 4years plus, and honorsly, she is the MOST LENG LOI de HO in sgh blood bank lol ^^

just nw did mention tiok, bt i cnt recall wat her name is liaw, weak brain of mine.. duh...

2day is her 1st day in blood bank, haha, should i say... "LUCKY ME"??? muahahaha...

and my vein seem gv face lol, cos usualy took a few needling to gt my blood out, bt she done it in her 1st shoot.... in 1.49 i was nt to say that to scared her oh, was talking to another MO (or senior MA, i nt sure tat) there, hahaha....

PS: 0.50 i m nt so cham til dnt knw wat "numbness" mean and need translation oh.... is i dnt pay attention wat tat MO (or senior MA, i nt sure tat) ask, just busy look at her n wonder she is more nervous thn me... hahahaha

10th years anniversary....

on the 1st july, 2001, i step my feet for the 1st time into the field of taekwondo.

that time, i dint knw much of wat it is about, but just seem its like kinda interesting to play of, so, i folo fren (and also senior as they senior me atleast a week time) to join in, they include hui ling, ameagor hh, xiuxiu ver, potery bong, bongli, jelly chin, chiang, ellisa kali....

frm 2001 to 2004, several instructors had cum n go, for me
all of them are helpful and important in my journey in tkd, credit to them n they are sir benny lee, sir thian, sir randy, sir supian, & sir arlvin (see pic below).

after my spm, in 2005, had being involve in assisting several tkd classes in various sch in kuching area, guided by sir elvy... one of it is swinbrn university

obtained my state referee cert in the year of 2006, under MTF tat tym...


however, due to the mis-communicate and unaware of the importance of the national n international cert of the black belt member, few of us dint manage to apply and registered on 2004 for MAS n Korea, kukkiwon cert...

in ogos 2009, had joined kuching branch wit ameagor hh, under mst fang in kota padawan center... which had nw being move frm kota padawan to 3mile main gym, bt stil the name of KPC remain in use...

here, we sit for a retest for our 1st dan as to fulfill the need of having the test result to apply mas n kkw cert (as it is kinda imposible mission if to ask fr the past result frm mst tan)... the retest was held on 5th sept, 2010... (cost rm320 in total fr grading fee + mas cert + kkw cert)

and finally to mention is my aim/s to be done in my 11th years in tkd...

a) to attain for my 2nd dan test n make sure to pass it....
b) to attempt a bare hand, knife hand chop on kicap/beer botol

1st of june.....


1st of june... gues is time for me to change a bit the routine again... will be adding in an additional of 30-45min of walk/jog everyday, mostly in the mrng... (my mrng here refer to the tym i wake la.. ahhaha)

so for this month it would look sumting like this"

a) every "mrng": walk/jog 30-45min
b) mon, wed, fri, sun (light day) : walk/jog > 1hour a day
c) tue, thur, sat ("medium" day): walk/jog 30-45min + playing sum weight exercise...


and current value are:
a) current weight: 79kg
b) current approx fat: 24.2%


thinking of see price/fee of gym so can go to do sum leg's weight play.. lol

1 month had pass....

since last month i claim wanted to do sumthing on reducing my body fat... bt due to laziness (major reason) and bit minor injury, i end the 1st month wit a big FAIL.....

the 1st month had being go on wit oly bit by bit of light exercise, and carry the mean that oly tiny changes took place, which as:

a) current weight: 78.0kg
b) current approx body fat: 24.6%

nw, as the sprained leg recovered quite ok liaw.. so, is time to gt thing serious by nw...

from 2day on, will keep a month with the schedule as:

a) mon, wed, fri, sun (light day) : walk/jog > 1hour a day
b) tue, thur, sat ("medium" day): walk/jog 30-45min + playing sum weight exercise...

try to cut sum fat... nt weight....



its realy had being quite a long tym since i last post bout the journey of me to "try to be fit", the actual "process" took place around end of 2007 to early 2008...

and now, i shall declare to myself, n all those who coincidently read this blog... today, 10 april 2011, i will kick start my "try to cut FAT, not WEIGHT" journey... and hopefully i will be hardworking enuf to gt the effort done and try to post up to evday.. erm, may be evweek de progress.... erm.... nt sure la...
